When will the Riverwalk construction begin?

Construction of the central trail, which will serve as the backbone, has already begun.  Phase 1 of the project will begin once funding has been secured.

What is the Riverwalk?

The Winfield Riverwalk is both a trail and park under construction along the DuPage River in the Winfield Town Center, which will link Winfield Town Center to the 23 mile West Branch DuPage River trail and multiple surrounding trail systems.

 

How is the Riverwalk funded?

It will be funded with a combination of individual and corporate donations and grants.  This is why we need your help!

Where is the Riverwalk?

The Riverwalk is located along the east bank of the DuPage River where the West Branch DuPage River Trail is currently under construction.  It is located between the Ronald McDonald House and High Lake Road.

 

How can I learn more about the Riverwalk?

Become a Friend of the Riverwalk by getting involved as a volunteer. For more information visit GET INVOLVED.

Why do we need the Riverwalk?

It will provide a “center of gravity” around which Town Center can develop, and provide a beautiful natural area for walking, bicycling and community events.
